Portraying language learning in different ways such as it relates to mathematics, culture, and how to derive it from etymology. This website won’t just explore how to learn a language, but how to think about it with a different perspective and gain a deeper understanding.
Why Language Learning?
Over the past few years I have developed a fiery passion for learning languages and many people have asked why I care about it so deeply, and how they can learn a language for themselves. Conversing with others, writing and using a different alphabet, and simply articulating a new thought in a new language is so powerful. With my accumulated knowledge and perspective I hope to instill that passion within you as well.
The story of
Ashton Hamlin
I cruised through most of high school taking Spanish by cheating, until suddenly I was determined to learn it for myself.
In the summer of my sophomore year I had taught myself what I had been learning for nearly five years, and the next year I obtained my Seal of Biliteracy from my school. Attending college, I skipped the first year of University French after learning it for a few months. As my passion grows, I am teaching myself German over the next few years.
